The Brussels-based International Taste Institute annually evaluates food and beverage products for taste and quality. An international jury of more than 250 renowned chefs and sommeliers blind tastes products and evaluates them for appearance, aroma, taste, texture and overall impression. Products that score above 90% receive the highest rating of three stars.
We are extremely proud of the Superior Taste Award. Four consecutive three stars for Old Amsterdam 48+ is a remarkable achievement. It confirms the consistently superior quality of our cheese and is a special tribute to the craftsmanship and dedication of our entire team – said Marit van Houte, Global Brand Lead Old Amsterdam.
The award-winning Old Amsterdam 48+ is distinguished by its unique tangy yet creamy taste. About Old Amsterdam
Old Amsterdam is a cheese full of spice and character, born of curiosity, craftsmanship and courage. Old Amsterdam’s unique flavor was discovered by pushing the boundaries of everything possible in cheese. The brand combines the best of both worlds: the familiar creaminess of Gouda cheese with a touch of Italian inspiration that gives it a surprisingly mature flavor and a slightly sweet aftertaste. This unique recipe and special maturation method sets the brand apart from all other Gouda cheeses. Old Amsterdam has created its own category of gourmet flavors. For almost 40 years, its authentic taste has won international awards.
